You are welcome to sit in on Professor Langdon's CADD 1 class on Wednesday afternoon. Currently being covered is how to set up xrefed interactive paperspace layouts in AutoCAD 2002. (i.e. the equivalent of GoToView to you DataCADers) This facility has 16 of the fastest state of the art P4 Win2000 systems, all with the fastest web connections possible, and all with DataCAD 10, AutoCAD 2002, ADT 3.3, 3D StudioViz, CADoverlay, ArchiCAD7, SketchUp, DataCAD Plus, DesignWorkshop, etc. which you can freely explore yourself. Come try out your own drawings in DataCAD 10, and, if you wish, we will show you how to translate them from/to AutoCAD and ADT. This meeting will introduce a number of free online resources that can help DataCAD offices. We will also give tips and tricks tutorials for using DataCAD as well as web page composing. Finally, to wrap up the evening, discussions on two controversial subjects - the merits of rental/subscription plans for CADD software, and, finally, how the latest DataCAD stacks up against the latest offerings from Autodesk. With all AutoCAD 14 licences expiring, worldwide, in less than 90 days, hundreds of AutoCAD offices are frantic trying to decide what to do. Hear from consultant Prof Langdon what is going on on the frontlines of a huge shift in the industry. |
