Comments from Architectural CADD : Part of the nature of the light version of AutoCAD called LT is that they left, theoretically, any ability to add on macro programs (leaving out the AutoCAD programming languages of AutoLisp, ARX, ACIS, and 3D) essentially so that, if someone needed those things they would have to buy a "full" version of AutoCAD. A holdover from an ancient CADD program called "GenericCADD" which was morphed into AutoCAD LT circa 1989, another, very simple language, called "Diesel" is indeed part of AutoCAD LT, and it is with Diesel and extensive symbol block libraries, that realarchitect.com has done great magic and created the wonderful RealArchitect, which we do indeed recommend to architectural users of LT.

RealArchitect 2000
Realarchitect.com has announced the release of Real Architect 2000, the newest of its architectural programs that run in AutoCAD LT 98 & 2000. The company noted that this is not just a set of blocks, but rather a full-featured architectural program with the tools necessary to produce full sets of working drawings. Floor plans, elevations, sections and roof plans can be implemented. In addition, there is a straightforward graphical menu interface.
Among several features of the new release is the drawing setup control that allows the set up of variables and parametric windows and doors that will automatically cut openings in wall lines, regardless of the number of lines contained in the wall.
