July 1, 2005 – Randolph, NJ – Today Graphisoft announced that it has transferred ownership of the Drawbase line of CAFM technology to Drawbase Software. Drawbase Software is a new company based in Randolph, NJ and is comprised of the former management and employees of the Drawbase component of Graphisoft’s FM Division. Drawbase Software plans to significantly expand the market penetration for Drawbase and to enhance the Drawbase suite of applications.
Comments from Architectural CADD : Although Graphisoft has an
acknolodged plan to eventually phase out Drawbase, and actively
encourages
Drawbase users to upgrade to ArchiFM, Drawbase as a program will
continue
not only support but also development for quite a number of years to
come.
In Jan. 2001 the USA military signed on Drawbase for at least another 3
year committment.
March 2001 the president of Drawbase - Al Moulton - takes over
as President of Graphisoft US, as Tamas Hajas returns to R&D in
Budapest
