Note from Architectural CADD : ARRIS is one of the most powerful and comprehensive architectural CADD packages available. It consists of several interlinked modules covering 2D production drawings, 3D CADD modeling, visualization, and much more. The Arris Team has either won, or come in second, every single year of the Designers 3D CAD Shootout for Architectural CADD Systems, many times blowing all the competition away. It is extremely powerful in workgroup collaboration, and is used by many large AE firms to design buildings as extensive as airports and major hospitals.
Comments from Architectural CADD : This is extremely excellent software, used as a competitive advantage by many (usually large) design firms, that, strangely, you don't hear much about in the Press. As with the case of ArchiTECH.PC, we at Architectural CADD are puzzled why many firms don't seem to put this excellent software on their short list of choices, though, unlike ArchiTECH.PC, the Arris software DOES have a foothold of strong advocate users already here, and a network of user groups. Recently Sigma Designs has been pushing their wonderful internet drawing viewer markup collaboration software called EZ Meetings, which is a CADD improvement over Microsoft Netmeeting.
