ALLPLAN, The Intelligent Choice

ALLPLAN is a comprehensive CAD program designed specifically for the building design industry. It supports all phases of architectural services including Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Material Takeoffs, and Multi-Media Presentation including Virtual Reality. Additional integral modules that automate specialties, such as Civil, Structural and Mechanical Engineering, Interior Design, and Facilities Management, are only available in European versions currently, however, all CAD work pertaining to building design and construction can be done with the architectural modules included in ALLPLAN FT. No third-party programs or plug-ins are needed. The key to ALLPLANís performance and ease of use is the synergistic effect of having all the necessary tools integrated and coordinated through a single object-oriented 3D database that works on multiple open files at the same time. ALLPLAN balances automatic functionality with flexibility in such a way that it is equally useful for very large projects done by many architects working in parallel on a network, and very small projects done by a one person on a laptop. To ensure ease of collaboration with clients and consultants in allied fields, ALLPLAN, can import and export data to DWG, DXG, DGN, 3DS and other formats, making cross-platform collaboration routine.

Ivan Bereznicki is president of Ivan Bereznicki Associates in Cambridge, Mass, a six person office specializing in highly detailed private homes. The office has been a pioneer in the use of ALLPLAN's integrated 3 dimensional capabilities for design, presentation and documentation of the complex geometry that is a hallmark of their work. He has been using ALLPLAN for 3 years.

Toby Gilk is the CAD manager for Peckham & Wright Architects [www.pwarchitects.com] in Columbia Missouri. He has used ALLPLAN on a wide array of projects, including large institutional buildings, and works on a 10-workstation NT network. He has been using ALLPLAN for two years.

Matt Koons is a specialist in CAD and Multi-media computer systems. He teaches CAD drafting, modeling, and rendering. He is president of Shattered Image in Santa Rosa, Ca., a 3d modeling and animation studio emphasizing architecture.[www.shattered-image.com] He has been using ALLPLAN for 3 years.

Gary Georges is the CAD manager of the firm: Larry Brisley, Architects. Specializing in Custom Estates and Commercial Buildings. He also owns a consulting firm "Corybantes Consulting" and has been an ALLPLAN consultant and trainer for the past two years. He has been using ALLPLAN for 3 years.

Richard Talbott is an sole practitioner architect in the San Francisco Bay Area, and is Nemetschekís representative in North America. He sells and provides technical support and training for ALLPLAN. He has been using ALLPLAN for 3 years.

System Requirements

ALLPLAN runs on any Intel Pentium machine running Windows 95/98 or NT (3.51 or higher), with 32MB of RAM, a double-speed CD-ROM drive, a 3 î floppy drive, 100MB of hard disk space, a graphics card supporting 1024 X 768 resolution, and a three-button mouse. We recommend a 200Mh or higher computer, with 128 MB RAM, a graphics card that has at least 8MB of memory.

The ALLPLAN Team is using a PIII-500, and a Dual P-500, both with 256 MB RAM, WinNT, Elsa Synergy II Graphics cards.

Cost

ALLPLAN costs $4,995 for the first copy, $3,500 for the second copy, and $3,000 for additional copies.
