The Designers 3D CAD Shoot-Out

Judging - 1998

Judging

There will be a number of categories for judging, (best 3D modeling, best animation, fastest change adaptations, best network collaboration, best special abilities, etc.) including the best overall CADD software which will win the Architectural CADD Cup.

Voting results and the designs will be then posted here on the World Wide Web.

Evaluation of the work of the Teams and their CADD software will be done by two seperate groups, akin to the House and Senate, namely the Audience as a whole, and a panel of expert Judges on a jury. The judges primary job is to be there the entire time with checklists on clipboards making sure the Teams really do what they are supposed to do. The judges secondary job is to grade the Teams on over twenty different categories. Their third job is to act as the Senate for the voting on the overall winner category. The audience gets to participate as well and fills out a card with several questions.

The Judges

The judges on the jury will consist of a panel of a dozen or so experts in architectural CADD design systems. They will have a checklist of items to score on each Team.
