ARRISWins Designers 3D CAD Shootout! |

Boston, MA, November 25, 1996 Sigma Design International's ARRIS software claimed the first inaugural Architectural CADD Cup at the 3D CAD Designers Shootout held at the World Trade Center. Eight teams of architects, each advocating a different Architectural CADD product AllPlan, ArchiCAD, DataCAD, MiniCAD, TriForma, AutoArchitect, Architrion and ARRIS respectively, participated in a three-hour CAD design competition. Geoff Langdon, Professor of Architecture and chief organizer of the event, described the competition:
ARRIS was voted the Best Overall Architectural CADD Software by the approximately 325 architects and professionals in attendance. ARRIS also was voted number one in:
Overall, ARRIS was chosen as number one in 10 of the 20 voting categories, and was rated among the top three in 17 out of 20 categories. Said Mr. Langdon,
