The Designers 3D CAD Challenge 2002 News and Developments |
|
| Aug 1, 2002 | ||
| Is there enough time to do this project ? -- yes ! | The 2002 Designers 3D CAD Challenge has begun as of this week. There are two changes which promise to make the event even better than ever -- first, instead of designing one building the event is made up of 20 specific side-by-side Challenges, second, ALL the presentations are done by the Design Challenge staff, ensuring that all the various CADD options are covered equally, and enabling us to more candidly let the audience know what the different programs don't do. The project theme for 2002 is a neighborhood shopping center for Annapolis, Maryland As a public service, even though the 2001 Design Challenge is over (and won by the DataCAD Team of Jonathan Foster) because of the unique situation we will continue to accept, and display, ongoing submissions for the site of the former World Trade Center. | |
