Normally, architects are rather reluctant to switch (see several articles on the "stickyness factor in CADD") but for various reasons - acquiring another office, to gain a major project, to gain a competitive advantage, loss of critical CADD expertice - offices do indeed switch from one CADD program to another. We at the BSA committee on Design Software feel that their experiences, both good and bad, which you will not be able to glean from the various CADD dealers, can be extremely valuable in evaluating CADD, and is our responsibility to bring to you.
Offices generally do not make public their choices for design software. We only post those which have been published already or those who come forward here with their experiences.
