Architecture As A Spectator Sport
In 3 hours, teams of designers, each using one of the architectural design software packages, designed a specified building complex (including boolean solid modeling), producing quick perspectives, high quality renderings, a walk-through animation, all the coordinated plans/sections/elevations, and a VRML virtual reality model ready for the World Wide Web. A whole gallery of spectators saw detailed commentaries of what is going on, and received all kinds of advice on hardware and software appropriate for design. They also had the chance to vote on the winners in several categories - including the overall winner - the ARRIS Team, whose team and software won the Architectural CADD Cup
The secrete project was a Town Meeting
